Purchasing with Purpose welcomes enterprises that are aligned with the five standards and on the path towards verification. This includes nonprofits that are still developing self-sustaining revenue models and responsible businesses that are exploring ways to protect their purpose over time.
If you would like to be included in the Purchasing with Purpose directory and community marketplace, submit an application on the Good Market digital commons to create a free profile. At the end of the online form, select the box for Purchasing with Purpose. If you are interested in getting verified, select People and Planet First as well. The application is the first step towards verification.
People and Planet First is a low-cost global verification of the five standards. It was developed to complement existing certifications and bridge across traditional divides. The verification process has three steps. If you have questions or need help, you can contact the verification team at [email protected]
Verified enterprises receive a certificate and badge, are able to earn revenue through referrals, are included in local purchasing initiatives, and are eligible for procurement opportunities from institutional buyers.
Once your profile is published, you can add products or services to the digital commons. If you are part of Purchasing with Purpose, everything you add will automatically appear in the community marketplace.
Add a basic listing if you want to direct people to products or services on an external website. Basic listings are free for approved enterprises. No additional setup is required.
Add a cart listing if you want to include a price, receive payments through the community cart, and be included in the Shop Direct marketplace and Purchasing with Purpose gift card campaigns. It is free to add cart listings. When a payment is received, a 6% marketplace fee is deducted to ensure the service is financially sustainable. Cart listings have a one-time setup process so you can add your own payout settings and shipping settings.
